AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team held their annual year-end banquet on Wednesday, May 12. Head Coach Judy Dixon announced that sophomore Dorothy Iwanowicz (Hilton Head, S.C.) was named the MVP of the 2003-04 season.

Senior Susan Hyams (Cincinnati, Ohio) was recognized as well, as she was awarded the UMass Coaches' Award for the third time. Junior captain Sasha Edelstein (Haifa, Israel) will remain as the captain of next year's squad as well.

Hyams, a sport management major, will be receiving an academic award at commencement recognizing her outstanding work in her major. She has maintained a career GPA of 3.84, the highest on the team.
