PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Redshirt-junior Katie Nelson (pictured) scored a game-high 13 points and added five assists and four rebounds as UMass beat Providence, 53-39. The Minutewomen move to 2-3 overall, as they held the Friars to the lowest point total for a UMass opponent since Dec. 13, 2000 vs. New Hampshire.
