Tennis Seeded Fourth In A-10 Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team earned the fourth seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament that will be held April 17-19 at The Tennis Center at College Park, Md. As one of the top seeds, UMass received a bye in the first round of play and will face the winner of the George Washington / La Salle match on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
If Massachusetts wins its opening round match it will play on Friday at 10:30 a.m., and if the Minutewomen lose they will play at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
Xavier received the top seed in the tournament, followed by Temple at No. 2, Richmond at No. 3 and UMass at No. 4. Last year Richmond won the tournament in its first-ever appearance, topping Xavier, 4-0, in the championship.
