Green Named A-10 Performer Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. -- Massachusetts junior Brandy Green (Fitchburg, Mass.) was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Indoor Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending Feb. 9. Green earned the honor after tying the school record in the pole vault at 12'0" in the six-team meet hosted by Dartmouth over the weekend.

Green set the school record in the pole vault last season when she cleared 12'0" in the team's first meet of the 2002 outdoor season against SCSU, Fordham and St. John's.

Last season Green was named both the A-10 indoor and outdoor champion in the pole vault. This year she is leading UMass in the event with her season-best mark of 12'0" she set on Feb. 8.

Green and the Minutewomen will next compete at the Valentine Invitational on Feb. 14-15 in Boston, Mass.
