AMHERST, Mass. - Sophomores Sasha Edelstein (Haifa, Israel) and Stephanie Price (Columbia, Mo.) have been selected as the Atlantic 10 Rookie and Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office today.

Price went 4-0 at the Eastern Collegiate Women's Tennis Championship en route to the No. 2 singles title. Price took the crown with an upset victory over top-seeded Anna Marie Underwood of West Virginia, 6-0; 6-3. Price also knocked off Patricia Gomez of Stony Brook (1-6, 6-2, 6-2), Maria Anorga of Lehigh (6-0, 1-0 retired) and Cheri Lapane of Providence (6-1, 6-2) along the way.

Playing in her first intercollegiate competition, Edelstein advanced to the finals of the Eastern Collegiate Tennis Championship before falling to Niagara's Milena Matijevic, 2-6, 0-6. Edelstein recorded wins over Marissa Limisiaco of Army (6-4, 6-2), Kim Piazza of Quinnipiac (6-2, 6-2) and Whitney Simcik of UConn (6-4, 6-4).

The Minutewomen return to action with a dual match at Amherst Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 3:30 p.m.
