Kate Allery Named ECAC Women's Diver Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass.- Junior Kate Allery (South Hadley, Mass.) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Women's Diver of the Week for her performance against Fordham University, Feb. 2, at Joseph R. Rogers pool. On Monday, Allery was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Performer of the Week.
Allery set a school record in the one-meter dive event with a first place score of 287.75, and also claimed the three-meter dive (286.05) as Massachusetts defeated Fordham (184-112) on Saturday. The one-meter mark eclipsed the old UMass record of 265.65 in the one-meter. Allery has been named Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week two times this season.
UMass returns to action Feb. 21-23 as it participates in the A-10 Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. Last season, both the Minutemen and Minutewomen claimed A-10 titles.
