AMHERST, Mass. - Men's soccer goalkeeper Bryan O'Quinn (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and women's tennis player Stephanie Price (Columbia, Mo.) were named WHMP/UMass co-Athletes of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.

O'Quinn, a senior, posted shutouts in both UMass wins last week, a 2-0 decision over New Hampshire on Wednesday and a 7-0 victory over Maine on Saturday. With the shutouts, O'Quinn moved into a tie for four all-time at UMass with 11 career blankings, and became the first Minuteman goalkeeper since 1994 to post double-digit career shutouts. Earlier this week he was recognized as the Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Price, a freshman, won the No. 1 singles title at the Eastern Collegiate Tournament in her first collegiate action this past weekend. The unseeded Price upset top-seeded Ioana Dragan of Fordham in the semifinals (6-2, 7-5) and then knocked off fifth-seeded Kim Barfuss of Seton Hall in the finals. Price, who is now 4-0 at UMass, was ranked 135th in the country prior to arriving at Amherst. For her efforts, she was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday.

The men's soccer team begins Atlantic 10 play this weekend as it hosts regional rival Rhode Island at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The women's tennis team will next see action on Oct. 1 as they travel to Fordham for a 3:00 p.m. match.
