BOSTON, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts women's swimming and diving team dropped to Northeastern University yesterday afternoon, 112-185 at Barletta Natatorium.

Four Minutewomen posted wins on the day including junior Kate Allery (South Hadley, Mass.) in the three-meter (267.22) dive, freshman Lynette Sweeney (Plymouth, Mass.) in the 200-yard IM, sophomore Lauren Rowell (Hamburg, N.Y.) in the 200-yard back and Christen Dexter (Centerville, Mass.) in the 200-yard breast (2:25.41).

UMass also won the 400-yard free relay as junior Lizzy Boyle (Darien, Conn.) and seniors Becky Hunnewell (Sandwich, Mass.), Andrea Kazanjian (Troy, N.Y.) and Anne Dettloff (Barrington, Ill.) combined for a time of 3:41.35.

The loss slips UMass to 2-2 on the season while Northeastern improves to 3-0 overall.

The Minutewomen return to swimming action next weekend as they host St. John's University on Saturday, Nov. 17. The meet will begin at 1:00 p.m. and take place at Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. pool.
