Women's Tennis Match With Amherst College Postponed

AMHERST, Mass. -- University of Massachusetts women's tennis head coach Judy Dixon announced that this afternoon's scheduled match with Amherst College has been postponed. The match, which had already been rescheduled from Sept. 18, will be made up in the spring at a date to be determined later.

The Minutewomen are 1-1 on the season. Earlier this week they topped Fordham, 4-2, in Atlantic 10 action and fell to UConn, 6-1, yesterday at the Upper Boyden Courts.

UMass will compete in the prestigious ECAC Tournament Oct. 12-14 hosted by Princeton University. The tournament field is made up of the top 16 teams in the region.
