Football Rolls Over Maine, 33-10

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - Kelly Seibert passed for two touchdowns and scored a third, all in the first half, leading Massachusetts past Maine 33-10 Saturday.
UMass (4-2, 3-1 Atlantic 10) led 21-3 at halftime and got its only touchdown in the second half when Nate Long scored on a 14-yard interception return with nine seconds left in the game.
Maine (2-4. 0-3) got on the scoreboard first on a 26-yard field goal by Todd Jagoutz with 7:31 remaining in the first quarter. But Seibert led UMass on scoring drives of 73, 80 and 44 yards to give UMass its 21-3 lead.
Maine (2-4, 0-3) cut the deficit to 21-10 when Jake Eaton found Dwayne Wilmott for a 32-yard touchdown with 12:47 remaining in the third quarter. UMass responded with a pair of fourth-quarter field goals and Long's touchdown.
Seibert was sacked six times, but completed 18 of 29 passes for 206 yards.
Marcel Shipp rushed for 114 yards for UMass, and became the first player in school history with 1,000 career rushing and receiving yards.
