AMHERST, Mass. - Senior Chrissy Millbauer (Easton, Conn.) scored two goals to lead the University of Massachusetts to a 3-2 win over No. 18 Harvard University. UMass improves to 3-5 on the season, while Harvard drops to 5-2.

Harvard got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Dominique Kalil with 6:02 left in the first half, collecting a rebound and scoring. The Crimson extended their lead to 2-0 just 57 seconds into the second half when Kalil fed Kate Nagle, who caught the far corner of the goal for the second Harvard score.

UMass began its comeback 6:41 into the second half when the team was awarded a penalty stroke following a penalty corner attempt. Millbauer converted the stroke to make the score 2 1. Sophomore Anke Bruemmer (Koeln, Germany) tied the game with 20:35 left in the second half with a goal on a penalty corner situation. Millbauer then scored what would prove to be the game-winner with 13:19 left in regulation collecting a rebound off a penalty corner shot by Bruemmer.

Senior co-captain Michelle Crooks (Feasterville, Pa.) earned the win in her first start in goal this season, making two saves. Harvard goaltender Anya Cowan made one save.

UMass returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 3, when it travels to No. 1 Connecticut. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
