Women's Cross Country Finishes Second At Boston College Meet

BOSTON, Mass. - The UMass women?s cross country team finished second in the Boston College Cross Country Meet at Franklin Park. Boston College won the event with 18 points, followed by UMass with 49 points, UNH with 68 points, and UConn with 110 points.
Three UMass runners finished in the top ten, led by Senior Sally Hirsch (Brookline, Mass.) in 7th place with a time of 19:01. Senior Nicole Way (Marstons Mills, Mass.) finished 8th, followed by sophomore Kristin Cisowski (Salem, N.H.) in 9th with times of 19:05, and 19:06 respectively. Senior Sharon Tillotson (Wantagh, N.Y.) and senior Elizabeth Sheptyck (North Eastham, Mass.) rounded out the scoring for the Minutewomen, finishing 12th and 13th respectively.
UMass returns to action on Sept. 18, in a quad-meet with Central Connecticut and Boston University at Vermont.
