Gerasimova Bows Out of ITA Eastern Region Tennis Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Ola Gerasimova (Liatvia Ridge, Russia) of the University of Massachusetts women?s tennis team, bowed out of the ITA Eastern Region Tennis Championships on Nov. 6 in second-round action in Boston.

Gerasimova defeated Holy Cross? Amy Crump in the first round, 6-3, 6-0, but ended up falling to Princeton?s Amanda Hastings-Phillips in second-round action, 6-1, 6-4. She completes her singles fall campaign with a 7-6 overall mark and a 5-3 record in dual-match play.

Gerasimova and sophomore Annie Hamilton (Plano, Texas) will be participating in the doubles portion of the tournament in the next days to follow. The duo is 4-3 this season in doubles.
