The Bubble
Located adjacent to McGuirk Alumni Stadium, University of Massachusetts Athletics debuted a brand new seasonal indoor facility in Winter 2019-20. Constructed thanks to a generous gift of $5.58 million from Marty Jacobson '68, the space is available to all Minutemen and Minutewomen teams for practices, conditioning and other activities.
Known around campus simply as "The Bubble", the structure directly benefits each University of Massachusetts student-athlete and provides a crucial advantage when inclement weather leaves outdoor facilities unavailable. It is also available to the larger university community for selected special events.
