BEFORE UMASS: Was a sprinter and high jumper for Swampscott High School ... Took third in the high jump at the NEC indoor meet and third at the MIAA Division 4 State Meet in 2007 ... Placed 10th in the MIAA All-State that year, as well ... Was a part of the 4 x 100 team that finished second at the NEC outdoor meet in 2007 ... Served as captain of both the indoor and outdoor teams as a senior ... Named a 2007-08 NEC All-Star in the 55 meter dash and NEC honorable mention in the high jump ... Tabbed a Salem Evening News All-Star for the 2007-08 indoor and 2007 outdoor seasons ... Earned five team awards from 2005 to 2008 ... Selected to the Lynn Daily Item Spring All-Star track & field team in 2007.
