Celeste Frey is in her fourth season as an assistant coach at UMass. She came to UMass after graduating from the University of Mississippi, where she was a co-captain of the tennis team. As a collegiate player, Frey was ranked in the top 10 nationally for both singles and doubles.

At Mississippi, Frey was a member of the Athletic Honor Roll Rebel 3.0 Club and the M-Club, in addition to being an Academic All-American. She was also the recipient of the Student-Athlete Extra Effort Award. Frey has run instructional tennis camps in Argentina, as well as at Mississippi. Frey was an instructor for the Mississippi varsity tennis team as well as providing support and management services to the varsity soccer and softball teams.

Frey is a native of Reconquista, Argentina, where she was one of the nation[apos]s top-ranked tennis players. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in the spring of 2001 with a bachelor[apos]s degree in Family and Consumer Science Dietetics and Nutrition, and is getting a graduate degree in sport management at UMass.

Frey currently resides in Belchertown, Mass.
