Bio
2021 (Sophomore): Appeared in two games for the Minutewomen.
Before UMass: Played club in Saint Louis under coach Scott Gallagher … Was invited to ECNL PDP camp for my conference in two straight seasons … Attended Edwardsville High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honors Society.
Dowiak on Stevens: Sydni was a player who stood out to us early on in the recruiting process as we started to identify some clubs in the U.S. that we wanted to tap into. She is tremendously fast, but she also has the ability to use the ball at her foot at full speed to make good passes and shots. She’s going to be a player who we think will add a lot of excitement on the flanks, but is also very versatile. What’s great about Sydney is that she is willing to learn how to play positions that she hasn’t played in her career, and we could see her being an outside back, a wide wing back, a wide forward, or potentially even a center forward with the pace and work ethic that she has. I think she is a very gifted all-around player, so as a utility type of player we are really excited to see what she has to offer.
