Jordan Hogan joined the UMass football staff as wide receivers coach in January 2025 and was promoted to wide receivers/pass game coordinator prior to the 2026 season.
In his first season with the Minutemen, Hogan coached Jacquon Gibson to All-MAC Third Team honors. Gibson recorded 616 yards receiving on 63 catches on the season despite missing two games due to injury. Gibson posted a career-high 138 yards receiving against Bowling Green while also catching a career-best 12 passes against Temple.
Hogan arrived at UMass after spending two seasons as an offensive assistant with the San Francisco 49ers, primarily working with the wide receivers. He joined the organization through the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship before earning a full-time role on the offensive staff. During his tenure, Hogan helped Brandon Aiyuk earn AP Second Team All-Pro honors after a career-best 1,342-yard, seven-touchdown season, while the 49ers won the NFC championship and advanced to Super Bowl LVIII.
Before San Francisco, Hogan spent the 2022 season as wide receivers coach at Colgate after two years with the Arizona Cardinals through the Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship. He was recognized on the FootballScoop Minority Watch List in 2022 while assisting the Cardinals' offensive staff and quarterbacks.
Prior to his NFL experience, Hogan spent three seasons as wide receivers coach at Cornell, helping develop several record-setting receivers. He also coached wide receivers at Stonehill and Buffalo State and participateded in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens.
A standout wide receiver at SUNY Brockport, Hogan ranks seventh in program history with 1,546 career receiving yards and 11th with 108 receptions. He earned all-conference honors as a junior and was a preseason All-American and team captain as a senior.
A native of Newfane, New York, Hogan earned a bachelor's degree in communications and media studies from SUNY Brockport in 2013.
