The University of Massachusetts Athletic Training Facilities consists of a Main Athletic Training Room and three auxiliary athletic training rooms.

Main Athletic Training Room

The Main Athletic Training Room is located in Boyden Building. The Main Athletic Training Room houses all professional staff, graduate assistants, and student interns. It is equipped with a full compliment of modalities, athletic training supplies and rehabilitation equipment. All teams receive rehabilitation services in this room. Teams serviced through this facility for pre-activity preparation and post-activity treatments include:
  • Men's & Women's Soccer
  • Men's & Women's Swimming
  • Men's & Women's Cross Country
  • Men's & Women's Lacrosse
  • Field Hockey
  • Softball
  • Crew
  • Baseball
  • Women's Tennis
  • Men's & Women's Outdoor Track

Rehabilitation Area

The Rehabilitation Area is designated for student-athletes to perform rehabilitative exercise and is equipped with the following equipment:
  • Upper Body Ergometer
  • Fitron Bikes
  • Air Resistance Bikes
  • Slide Board
  • Fitter
  • Mini-Trampoline
  • Dumbbells
  • Sport Cords and Elastic Bands
  • Swiss Balls
  • Exercise Mats and Mirrors
  • Plyoballs and Plyoback
  • Foam Rollers
  • Body Blade
This athletic training room is also equipped with a wet area with water source and ice machine and serves as a pre-practice water, Powerade and ice bag preparation area for teams.

Physician Exam Rooms

The Head Athletic Trainer's office is also used as the physician's exam room and is equipped with NSAIDS and supplies typically used during orthopedic evaluations (i.e. bandages, wound dressing, minor procedure kits, injectables) or medical evaluations.

Auxiliary Athletic Training Rooms

Mullins Center Athletic Training Room
A small athletic training Room is located in the "link" between the practice hockey rink and the Mullins Center. It serves as a local coverage facility for practices, competitions and events for Men's and Women's Basketball and Hockey. This athletic training room is equipped with:

  • Four Treatment Tables
  • Two Station Taping Counter
  • Supply Cabinet with Appropriate Supplies and Two Blood Kits
  • Small Locked Medicine Cabinet
  • Equipped with NSAIDS and supplies i.e. bandages, wound dressing, minor procedure kits, injectables
  • Storage Closet w/ Racks, Coolers, Court Side Carts and Emergency Equipment
  • Ice Machine
  • Large and Small Hydrocollator
  • Two Large Whirlpools
  • Office space for professional and graduate assistant staff members
  • Physician's exam room

Football Stadium Athletic Training Room
Football Stadium Athletic Training Room is an athletic training room facility located McGuirk Stadium. It is used exclusively for coverage of football and is equipped with the following:

  • Four Treatment Tables
  • Taping Bench
  • Water Coolers
  • Ice Chests
  • Emergency Equipment
  • Supply Cabinets with Necessary Taping and Athletic Training Supplies
  • Supply Cabinet with Appropriate Supplies and Two Blood Kits
  • Small Locked Medicine Cabinet
  • Equipped with NSAIDS and supplies i.e. bandages, wound dressing, minor procedure kits, injectables
  • Storage Closet w/ Racks, Coolers, Court Side Carts and Emergency Equipment
  • Ice Machine

Curry Hicks Athletic Training Room
Adjacent to the basketball court and running track, there is a small athletic training room. It serves as a local coverage facility for practices and events for Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Stockbridge Basketball teams. This facility will be equipped with:

  • Small Ice Machine
  • Portable Hydrocollator
  • Treatment Table
  • Small Taping Counter
  • Necessary Coolers and Ice Chests
  • Supply Cabinet or Locker
  • Emergency Equipment
