Five UMass Athletes Earn Atlantic 10 Fall Academic All-Conference Honors

AMHERST, Mass. -- University of Massachusetts men's soccer player Bryan O'Quinn (Feeding Hills, Mass.), women's soccer player Brooke Bartlett (Clifton Park, N.Y.), women's cross country runner Kristen Cisowski (Salem, N.H.), and field hockey players Lucy Koch (Ipswich, Mass.) and Patty Robinson (Norwood, Mass.) were named to the Atlantic 10 Fall Academic All-Conference teams. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.00 and be a starter or key reserve on his/her team.

Junior goalie O'Quinn played in all 1,883 minutes this year for UMass and recorded seven shutouts, including six in Atlantic 10 games. He is now alone in second place on the UMass single-season shutouts chart with seven, behind Jon Gruber's eight in 1991. O'Quinn led the Atlantic 10 with an 0.66 goals against average in conference games. O'Quinn is a Sport Management major.

Bartlett, a junior forward, led the Minutewomen with nine assists and a career-high 21 points this season. She also was tops on the team with 12 points in conference play for which she earned A 10 first team and all-tournament honors. A communications major, Bartlett has been a three-time member of the Dean's List and a five-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

Robinson, a senior, led the Minutewomen in assists with 18. A four year starter for UMass, Robinson tied UMass' all-time career assists mark with 50. A sociology major, Robinson has been member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for four years.

Koch, a senior, was part of a defense that led the country with a goals against average of 0.66. Koch, who was also part of the penalty corner unit, was second on the team in assists with 15 and fourth on the team in points with 21. A management major, Koch has been a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for four years.

Cisowski, a junior, was only the second woman ever at UMass to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championship. Cisowski finished second at the 2000 Atlantic 10 Championship, while she became the only freshman to ever win the A-10 Championship in 1998. An engineering major, Cisowski has been a three-time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
