Camp/Parents Information
Campers will have the opportunity to play and practice in one of the best basketball arenas in the country, the Mullins Center. Additional instruction will take place in the Curry Hicks Cage, the newly refurbished Boyden Gymnasium, and the four outdoor courts behind the Mullins Center. Family and friends are invited to attend camp anytime during the week and are encourage to attend the closing awards ceremony.
Registration and Checkout
On-campus registration, check-in and check-out will be held at the dormitory for all camps, except for Day Camp. Registration for Day Camp will be held at the Boyden Gymnasium. Additional information on the time and place will be sent upon receipt of your application.
Accomodations
Overnight campers will be housed two per room (triples are limited) in one of the UMass dorms. Campers receive constant supervision as counselors and coaches are housed on the same floor. Bedding and toiletries are not supplied.
Meals
Well balanced meals are provided by the University Dining Commons Services. Overnight campers receive three "all you can eat" meals a day. Commuters receive lunch and dinner. Day campers receive lunch.
Staff
The school staff is made up of some of the finest instructors in the game. Featuring members of the UMass basketball staff, other assistant college coaches, high school coaches, and members of the 98-99 UMass Basketball Team.
What to Bring
Each camper should bring T-shirts, gym shorts, athletic socks, swimming trunks, basketball shoes, toiletries, and bedding. Basketballs will be provided by the camp, campers do not need to bring basketballs. Each camper receives a Nike UMass Basketball Camp T-shirt.
Camp Store
The "Camp Store" will be open at registration, checkout and every night after camp. The store fatures Papa John's pizza, refreshments, snacks, as well as UMass game and practice jerseys, shorts and other apparel. Cash only sales will be accepted at the store. There will also be a "Camp Bank" available so campers will not have any cash concerns.
