John Connolly of the Boston Herald had a feature story on UMass football nose tackle Daniel Maynes on Sunday that discussed his battle against Crohn's disease. Maynes was forced to miss the 2011 season due to the condition, but has worked to keep the disease at bay while competing for the Minutemen.
