Mike Kostka Signs With Florida Panthers

Former UMass hockey defenseman Mike Kostka has signed a one-year two-way contract with the Florida Panthers. DurhamRegion.com has the story.

Kostka led the Rochester Americans of the AHL in scoring last season with 55 points in 80 games. Kostka will be reunited with his former coach with the Portland Pirates, Kevin Dineen, who was recently named head coach of the Panthers.

Kostka recorded 53 points on 15 goals and 38 assists in his four seasons for the Mass Attack.
