Minutemen to Face Troy on Nov. 2 in MAC-SBC Challenge

AMHERST, Mass. – The Massachusetts men's basketball team is set to travel to Troy on Monday, Nov. 2, as announced on Thursday. The game is part of the MAC-SBC Challenge, featuring teams from the Mid-American Conference and Sun Belt Conference. It will mark the first-ever meeting between the Minutemen and Trojans.
Last season, UMass dropped a pair of close games in the MAC-SBC Challenge, falling at home to Marshall, 78-72, on Nov. 3 before dropping a triple overtime heartbreaker at Coastal Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Game 2 of the challenge will be played on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, with the opposite conference hosting. Those matchups will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
