Bagnall Earns Atlantic 10 Men’s Lacrosse Rookie Of The Week Nod

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts freshman midfielder Thomas Bagnall has been selected as the Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It marks Bagnall's second weekly recognition of the season and the eighth for the Gorillas as a squad.

Bagnall is also one of four candidates for Inside Lacrosse national Player of the Week. The Oakville, Ontario native scored a team-best five goals in a 2OT thriller at Hobart on Saturday including the overtime winner in the 13-12 victory.

His five goals came on seven shots, while he also recorded three ground balls and a caused turnover. Bagnall's five tallies marked a new season best for the rookie and two of the goals came during UMass' big second half run that saw the squad come all the way back from a seven-goal deficit to force overtime.
