Beginning on July 1, 2027, Under Armour will become the exclusive provider of uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories.
AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts Athletics and Under Armour are excited to announce an eight-year partnership, making the brand the official outfitter and supplier for UMass' 21 varsity sport programs and athletics staff. Beginning on July 1, 2027, Under Armour will become the exclusive provider of uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories.

The partnership represents another significant step in the expansion of the Commonwealth's Flagship athletics brand and provides new opportunities to enhance the student-athlete experience, increase the visibility of Massachusetts Athletics and create additional ways for fans to connect with UMass Athletics and Under Armour. The partnership also represents a significant investment in the continued growth of Massachusetts Athletics and will be among the department's most prominent partnerships moving forward.

The partnership comes at a time of significant momentum for Massachusetts Athletics. UMass has continued to build competitive success across its 21 varsity programs, with multiple teams advancing deep into NCAA postseason competition in recent seasons, combined with joining the Mid-American Conference in 2025. The department also recently recorded its highest Learfield Directors' Cup finish in 25 years, while ongoing investment in facilities, student-athlete resources and strategic partnerships is fueling a strong foundation for continued growth and success.

Under the agreement, Under Armour will serve as the exclusive official outfitter and supplier of Massachusetts Athletics, providing athletic- and athletically-related apparel, footwear, accessories and sports equipment for the University's varsity athletic teams, coaches and staff. The partnership will support UMass student-athletes and programs across competition, training and team activities, while delivering Under Armour products across the department.
