Shields Earns A-10 Offensive Player of The Week Honors

AMHERST, Mass. -- Massachusetts lacrosse senior Tessa Shields received Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of The Week honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. The selection marks the first career selection for Shields and XX weekly honor for the Minutewomen this season.
Shields paced the Minutewomen offensively, recording eight points on four goals and four assists in a dominant 17-7 win over A-10 foe Davidson. Shields added three ground balls and three caused turnovers to help the Minutewomen record their eighth conference win this season and 53rd consecutive in regular season play.
Shields and the Minutewomen continue their road trip, taking on St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 19 at 12 p.m. in St. Bonaventure, New York. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and can be followed live on umassathletics.com or UMassLacrosse on Twitter.
