Men's Soccer Adds Walton to Staff as Assistant Coach

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts men's soccer welcomes back Mack Walton as an Assistant Coach, announced by the program on Friday. Walton served on the Minutemen's staff from 2022-2023, contributing to recruitment, scouting, and team travel, helping the team reach the 2023 A10 Semifinals.

"I am delighted to welcome Mack back to UMass" said head coach Fran O'Leary. "He did an outstanding job during his previous stint with us and will prove one again to be a great addition to our staff."

From Chester, VT, Walton was a three-year captain at Clarkson University, earning All-Region and Scholar All-American honors. He also played for Black Rock FC in USL 2. Walton holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and an MBA from Clarkson. Walton makes his way from the 2024 National Champions, University of Vermont, where he served as the Director of Operations. He also brings coaching experience from the Vermont Olympic Development Program, Western United Pioneers FC, Vermont Futbol Academy, Far Post FC, and Rivers Edge Soccer Club.
