Women’s Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule

The Minutewomen open the season on August 15 on the road against Syracuse.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's soccer and head coach Jason Dowiak announced the team's 2024 regular season schedule on Tuesday afternoon. The Minutewomen will face three teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in the fall of 2023, as well as host nine matches at home on Rudd Field, where the team went 6-0-1 in the regular season.
 
Prior to the start of the season, UMass will play two exhibition matches against opponents who also appeared in the NCAA Tournament last fall. Exhibition competition will begin on the road at Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, August 6, before welcoming Brown on Monday, August 12, to Amherst.
 
Massachusetts is set to play eight non-conference opponents with four of those contests scheduled to be played at Rudd Field. UMass kicks off the regular season with two games on the road, beginning with a contest at Syracuse on Thursday, August 15 in Syracuse, New York. The Minutewomen then head to West Point, New York, to take on Army on Thursday, August 22. Massachusetts welcomes Rutgers, who made a first-round appearance in the NCAA Tournament, on Sunday, August 25, to start its home slate, before taking on Harvard, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, at Rudd on Thursday, August 29. UMass faces two in-state rivals, traveling to Boston College on Sunday, September 1, and hosting Northeastern on Thursday, September 5. The Minutewomen wrap up out of league play with a trip to Smithfield, Rhode Island, on Sunday, September 8, to take on Bryant and home contest against UMass Lowell on Sunday, September 15.
 
UMass begins Atlantic 10 competition on Thursday, September 19, against Saint Louis, who reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament, returning to Rudd Field, as part of five home conference matches. The Minutewomen also host league foes Fordham on Thursday, September 26, Rhode Island on Sunday, September 29, Dayton on Sunday, October 13 and Davidson on Thursday, October 24. UMass will travel to St. Bonaventure on Sunday, September 22, George Washington on Thursday, October 3, Saint Joseph's on Sunday, October 6 and Loyola Chicago on Sunday, October 20. The conference slate wraps up on Sunday, October 27, on the road at VCU.
 
Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals will be played on Friday, November 1, through Saturday, November 2, at a campus site.
