AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team hosts Duquesne on Wednesday night in the Mullins Center. The Minutewomen and Dukes tip off at 6 p.m. on NESN and ESPN+.

Last Time Out
UMass was defeated by Saint Joseph's on the road in Philadelphia on Saturday, 77-67. Alexsia Rose led four Minutewomen in double figures with a career-high 22 points. Bre Bellamy added 12 points to join Rose in double figures while Kristin Williams and Stefanie Kulesza each chipped in 10. UMass pulled within three points at 67-64 with under three minutes left on a Williams triple before Saint Joseph's closed the game out on a 10-3 run.

Series History
Wednesday's meeting marks the 56th all-time matchup between UMass and Duquesne dating back to the 1983-84 season. The Dukes lead the all-time series with a 29-26 record while the Minutewomen hold a 17-7 advantage at home. UMass claimed last season's meeting in Pittsburgh by a score of 83-61.

On Fire
The Minutewomen shot a season-high 51.8-percent from the field at Saint Joseph's on Saturday. UMass shot a blistering 90-percent in the second quarter, going 9-of-10 from the field and 2-of-2 from deep to outscore the Hawks 20-16 in the frame. The Minutewomen also finished at 50-percent from behind the arc with Bre Bellamy, Alexsia Rose, and Kristin Williams each knocking down a pair of triples.

Finding Her Rhythm
Alexsia Rose set a new career-high for points in a game with 22 at Saint Joseph's on Saturday. The guard converted on 10 shots from the field and added a pair of 3-pointers. Rose averaged 20.0 points per game last week after tying her then career-high with 18 points against La Salle on Wednesday, finishing 5-of-10 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. The senior has reached double figures in scoring in seven of her last nine games and is averaging 12.7 points per game during the span.

Crashing The Boards
Stefanie Kulesza leads the Minutewomen in rebounds per game this season with 7.4 to rank seventh among Atlantic 10 leaders in the category. Kulesza has hauled in 170 rebounds on the year to rank among the top-100 nationally and sixth among A-10 leaders. The junior set a career mark with 14 rebounds against both Saint Peter's and UMass Lowell and has surpassed 10 rebounds in five games this season.

From Deep
Kristin Williams averages a team-leading 12.0 points per game on the season and 13.0 points per conference contest. The guard ranks among the top-10 in the Atlantic 10 in 3-point percentage at 33.3 while her 46 3-pointers rank seventh-most among A-10 players. Williams has knocked down three or more triples in nine contests and has made at least one 3-pointer in 22-of-23 games this season.

Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen follow Wednesday's contest against Duquesne with a matchup in the Bronx against Fordham on Saturday at 2 p.m. UMass then returns to the Mullins Center for its Play4Kay game on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. against Rhode Island. A matchup against VCU follows in Amherst on Saturday, Feb. 17 in the second to last home game for the Minutewomen with the regular season home finale set for Feb. 28 against St. Bonaventure.
