Women's Tennis Unveils Spring 2025 Schedule

The Minutewomen will host 12 home dual matches.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's tennis unveiled a competitive slate for the Spring 2025 season on Thursday morning. The regular season features 12 dual matches that will be played wither indoors at the Bay Road Tennis Club or outdoors at the Mullins Tennis Courts, while opening the year with a matchup on the road against Boston College.
The Minutewomen return five members of the 2023-24 team, including seniors Mariana Campino, Renata Farima and Thamonpan Jonglertrakul, junior Ella Faessler and sophomore Amelia Tye. Three newcomers joined the UMass squad this season, adding junior transfer Cosima Trinity Calinsecu and welcoming freshmen Owethu Makhanya and Martina Pavissich.
Massachusetts finished the 2023-24 year with a 15-8 overall record, including a 4-1 record in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while completing its home schedule with a 7-1 record.
UMass seized its first A-10 Championship title since the 2016-17 season, and first under the helm of head coach Juancarlos Nunez, to earn the program's third bid into the NCAA Tournament.
During the A-10 Tournament, the No. 3-seeded Minutewomen received a bye into the quarterfinals, shutting out No. 6 Rhode Island, 4-0, to advance to the semifinals. The team bested No. 2 Saint Louis, 4-1, to reach the A-10 Finals with a 4-2 triumph over No. 8 Richmond for the crown.
Massachusetts headed to Stanford, California, to face No. 2 Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, where the team fell, 4-0.
