AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts ranks tied for 25th overall in the updated Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings for Divisions I, checking in with 156 points. Massachusetts is the top-ranked team in the Atlantic 10.

The Minutemen and Minutewomen earned points with a fifth-place finish in men's soccer (73 points) and a run to the national semifinals in field hockey for a third-place finish (83 points). It marked the first time since 2013 that UMass had two teams advance past the first round of the NCAA Tournament and first time since 2007 that two teams in the same season (fall/winter/spring) won NCAA Tournament games.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
