WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senior forward Ashley Lamond tabbed Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. It marks the first weekly award for Lamond.
Lamond and the Minutewomen went 1-0-1 on the week, after shutting out Davidson, 2-0, and tying VCU, 2-2. Lamond totaled four points on two goals, while taking six shots with three on target. She notched the second goal for UMass against Davidson and recorded the first equalizing goal at VCU. On the pitch, Lamond played over 124 minutes.
The No. 3-seeded Minutewomen will host No. 6 Loyola Chicago at Rudd Field on Saturday, November 2, for the A-10 Quarterfinals, on ESPN+. Time is yet to be determined.
