Bell Leads Massachusetts Diving At FIU Sprint Invite

Andrew Bell secured first in both the one- and three-meter diving competitions.

MIAMI, Fla. – Three divers competed at the FIU Sprint Invite, hosted by Florida International University, on Wednesday morning at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center. Sophomore Andrew Bell claimed the gold in both the one-meter and three-meter dives.

Bell tallied a six-dive total of 297.50 in the one-meter dive, before posting a score of 386.40. Graduate student Tommy Cotner finished seventh in the one-meter (164.00) and fourth in the three-meter dive (226.85).

For the Minutewomen, sophomore Shreeya Sinha competed in both events. She finished 12th in the one-meter with a score of 192.95 and placed 13th in the three-meter with a total of 190.95.

Next Up
Massachusetts will return to the pool on Saturday, January 6, for Senior Day at Joseph R. Rogers, Jr., Pool to compete against Bryant. Diving events begin at 11 a.m., while swimming events start at 1 p.m.
