St. Aubin joins the Minutemen after six and a half years at Purdue.
AMHERST, Mass. - Massachusetts Athletics has named Drew St. Aubin as its new Senior Executive Director of Development and Chief Development Officer for UMass Athletics. In this role, Aubin will oversee the day-to-day operations of the athletic development unit.Â
"My family and I are very excited to be joining the UMass community," St. Aubin said. "I am very appreciative of Ryan Bamford, Dave Biancamano and UMAF leadership for this incredible opportunity. The Minutemen Club staff will continue to work extremely hard to build genuine relationships to maintain and grow the support of student-athletes at the University of Massachusetts. I look forward to spending a lot of time with the donors and fans of UMass Athletics!"Â
"We are thrilled to have Drew join Massachusetts Athletics to lead our Minutemen Club at an important time in our history," said Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford. "I am confident that with Drew's impressive fundraising background and ability to foster authentic relationships with athletics investors at Purdue, we will continue to set records for fundraising at UMass. We look forward to having Drew, Kait and Dawson in maroon and white very soon!"Â Â Â
St. Aubin comes to the University of Massachusetts after spending the last six and a half years at Purdue University, most recently as the Assistant Athletic Director of Major Gifts. During his time with the John Purdue Club, he successfully closed over 100 major gifts amounting to $18 million, supporting scholarships, capital projects and seating. Notably, 64 of the gifts were first-time major gift donors to Purdue Athletics, thanks to Drew's identification and solicitation efforts, resulting in $9.25 million. He spearheaded fundraising initiatives for a new video board project for the baseball and softball programs and secured a $3 million cash gift supporting the Purdue Basketball programs.Â
Before his tenure at Purdue, St. Aubin gained valuable experience at San Diego State (Assistant Athletic Director of Development of Major Gifts), Ohio University (Assistant Director of Annual Giving), and Fresno State University (Assistant Director of Major Gifts).Â
St. Aubin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sport Management from Northwood University, where he was also a student-athlete on the football team. He furthered his education by completing a Master of Science in Administration at Central Michigan University. Â
Joining the UMass community this spring are Drew's wife, Kait, and their 2-year-old daughter, Dawson. Â
