Massachusetts Rowing to Compete Against URI and BC
March 30, 2023 | Rowing
AMHERST, MAÂ - UMass rowing will compete in North Kingstown, Rhode Island this Friday after weather forced a change from a planned opening of the 2023 race season at the Doc Hosea Regatta on Saturday.
The Minutewomen will now square off with Boston College and Atlantic 10 rival URI on Rhode Island's home course Friday morning.
"Considering the weather conditions all over the East Coast this weekend, we are super excited to have the opportunity to pivot our plans and race URI and BC in quality racing conditions," said head coach Eric Carcich. "We are super excited to see our squad race the 2k distance for the first time this season, stacking up against the current reigning A10 Champs and a high-quality BC crew. We can't wait to get out there!"
Racing is slated to begin at 10:00 AM.
