Massachusetts Earns No. 2 Seed In A-10 Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The University of Massachusetts field hockey team has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2023 Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship Tournament, the league announced on Friday evening. The Minutewomen finished the season with a 12-6 record on the season and a 5-2 mark in conference play.
Massachusetts will face the No. 3-seeded VCU Rams on Thursday, November 2 at 2 p.m. at the Cary Street Field in Richmond, Va. for the semifinals. The winner of this match will move onto the Atlantic 10 Championship game, which will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 12 p.m., against the winner of the No. 1 Saint Joseph's/No. 4 XX matchup on Thursday, November 2 at 11 a.m.
The Atlantic 10 tournament is a four-team, single-elimination bracket hosted by VCU at Cary Street Field, with semifinal games occurring on Thursday, November 2, and the Championship game being held on Saturday, November 4. All games will be streamed on ESPN+ with links being made available at a later date.
