Herberhold, Hughes Tabbed UMass Student-Athletes Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. – Mali Herberhold of field hockey and Alec Hughes of men's soccer tabbed the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by UMassFive on Tuesday.
Finished the week with three points with the game-winning goal over Providence on Saturday and an assist. The freshman also tallied three shots, with one on goal.
Hughes scored two goals last week as the Minutemen remained unbeaten with wins at Central Connecticut State and against Boston University. He scored twice in the opening five minutes of a 4-2 win at CCSU on Wednesday, first with a goal from the penalty spot in the fifth-minute. The junior added another goal just 31-seconds later to score his team-leading third of the year. On the week, Hughes put six of his seven shots on target and added two shots on goal in a 2-1 win over Boston University.
