Leslie, Pedolzky Named UMass Student-Athletes Of The Week

Chandler Pedolzky scored the game-tying goal in the 50th-minute before a Duquesne own goal in overtime.
AMHERST, Mass. – Joe Leslie from men's soccer and Chandler Pedolzky from women's soccer were named the UMass Student-Athletes of the Week presented by UMassFive College Credit Union on Tuesday morning.

Leslie (London, England) scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Dartmouth on Wednesday for the Minutemen. The sophomore put home his team-leading fourth goal in the 65th-minute to tie the Big Green before dishing out an assist on the game-winning goal by Ryan Levay in the 86th-minute.

Pedolzky (Westfield, Mass.) put home a pair of goals as the Minutewomen went 2-0 last week to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games. The freshman scored the game's only goal Wednesday in a 1-0 win over Yale in the non-conference finale before picking up her team-leading fourth goal in the 50th-minute at Duquesne to help UMass to a 2-1 overtime win in the A-10 opener.
