AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team is set for three games in four days at the Jersey Mike's Classic in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Minutemen open the week tomorrow against Weber State at 5:30 p.m. All three UMass games of the Jersey Mike's Classic will air on CBS Sports Network.

Last Time Out
The Minutemen defeated Penn State 81-56 in the Mullins Center on Monday for their first win over a Big Ten team since UMass defeated Nebraska on Nov. 21, 2013. Five players finished in double figures, led by Trent Buttrick's 19 against his former team while C.J. Kelly and Rich Kelly each added 17. UMass connected on 13-of-29 attempts from 3-point range and shot 48-percent from the field on the night.

Second Half Surge
Forward Trent Buttrick scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half on Monday against his former team, Penn State, to set a new career-high in scoring to go along with nine boards, six assists, three steals and two blocks. Buttrick scored 11 points in the first six minutes of the second half to help extend the UMass lead to 16 points. In the season opening win over UMBC at home, Buttrick scored 15 of his 16 points in the second half and added a career-high five steals.

Jersey Mike's Classic
The Minutemen head to St. Petersburg, Fla. this week for three games in four days at the Jersey Mike's Classic on the campus of Eckerd College. UMass opens the week with a 5:30 p.m. tip against Weber State on Thursday and takes on UNC Greensboro at 3 p.m. on Friday with the final game of the week against Ball State at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. All three of UMass' games will air on CBS Sports Network.
