Brady Olson earned the start for the Minutemen going 14-30 with 113 yards and one touchdown. Tray Pettway tallied two receptions for 48-yards, while Josiah Johnson notched the Minutemen's only touchdown of the day.
On the defensive side Nahji Logan tallied nine total tackles for UMass, while Billy Wooden had one TFL for a loss of nine yards.
Maine's Joe Fagnano went 16-27 with 209 yards and two touchdowns on the day, connecting with Devin Young eight times for 70 total yards, and one touchdown.
It was the Minutemen who jumped ahead, scoring the first 10 points of the contest as Brady Olsen connected with Josiah Johnson for the score. Cameron Carson kicked a field goal from 43-yards to give UMass their 10-point advantage.
Maine answered with two straight touchdowns in the second quarter to take the 14-10 lead heading into the break. Shawn Bowman brought the score to 21-10 early in the third quarter on a 14-yard connection with Fagnano.
