#RisingInPortugal Sweep Complete With 80-47 Victory Over Algarve Elite

Minutewomen return home following zip line experience on Friday
ALBUFEIRA, Portugal – University of Massachusetts women's basketball wrapped up the competitive slate of the team's #RisingInPortugal tour with an 80-47 victory over Algarve Elite on Thursday at Pavilhão Municipal de Albufeira. The result completes a three-game sweep of the trip following triumphs against the Lisbon All-Stars (Aug. 18) and Belém Elite (Aug. 20).
On the afternoon, freshman Maeve Donnelly turned in a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, both team-highs, while junior Sam Breen was just short of the feat with 10 boards to go with nine points. Two other Minutewomen contributed 12 points a piece in senior Vashnie Perry and freshman Angelique Ngalakulondi.
Massachusetts will enjoy one final day in Portugal on Fri., Aug. 23 with a zip line experience and a team dinner. The Minutewomen return to the United States on Sat., Aug. 24.
