Miller Joins UMass Football As Graduate Transfer

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts football head coach Walt Bell announced the addition of graduate transfer linebacker Jarvis Miller to the program on Tuesday. Miller, a graduate of Suffield High School in Connecticut and Penn State University, has one year of eligibility remaining and arrives in pursuit of a Master's of Education in Learning, Media, & Technology from the University of Massachusetts' College of Education.

Miller, a native of Suffield, Connecticut, returns to New England following four seasons with the Penn State football program during which he split time between roles as a linebacker and member of the special teams unit. Over 33 games played between 2016-18, Miller posted 23 total tackles and had 2.0 TFLs, 1.0 sacks, a pass breakup and one fumble recovery.

Miller is the third Penn State graduate to transfer to the University of Massachusetts in recent years, alongside former all-American tight end Adam Breneman (Penn State, 2013-15; UMass, 2016-17) and wide receiver Alex Kenney (Penn State, 2010-13; UMass, 2014).
