The Little Engine That Could
• Andy Isabella ranks among the nation's per-game leaders in reception and receiving yards, as well as touchdowns catches. Isabella is third in receiving yards (121.2) and tied for fifth in receptions (7.6) and in touchdowns (9).
• Isabella is one of only two players in the nation who ranks as highlight in all three categories, alongside John Ursua (Hawai'i). Ursua is listed at 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds while Isabella 5-foot-10, 190 pounds.
The Curious Case of Bryton Barr
• Graduate student middle linebacker Bryton Barr is third among all NCAA FBS players in total tackles (111) and sixth for tackles per game (12.3) through nine games. Barr had at least 10 tackles in each of the last seven games, including at Boston College (17), at Georgia Southern (10), at FIU (15), Charlotte (21), at Ohio (11), USF (10) and Coastal Carolina (11).
• During his 21 games with UMass, Barr averages 10.3 tackles per game (216 total). He made at least 10 stops in 12 outings.
• Barr is in his seventh season of collegiate football and second with the Minutemen. He was a member of the Towson football program from 2012-16 before he transferred to Massachusetts ahead of the 2017 campaign. Barr went 1,091 consecutive days between games played due to back-to-back-to-back injuries at Towson spanning from Sept. 8, 2013 through Sept. 3, 2016.
Joe Previte Is All Heart
• Redshirt senior defensive lineman Joe Previte earned placement among the 69 nominees for the 2018 Burlsworth Trophy, as announced on Oct. 30. The award recognizes former walk-ons who have transformed into impact players for their respective FBS teams.
• Previte is in his fourth year of competition and second as a full-time starter on the defensive line. He racked up 27 total tackles and 4.0 TFLs through his nine appearances in 2018. His 27 tackles, and 20 assisted tackles, already rank as the most accumulated by Previte in a single season during his tenure at Massachusetts.
• The Brockton, Massachusetts, native spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons as a walk-on before he earned a scholarship prior to the program's Sept. 2, 2016 game against Boston College. He owns 36 career appearances and 25 starts, including in the last 21 games consecutively.
Oh These Babies Love The Slop

Quarterback Ross Comis totaled 197 yards passing (8-of-15) with two touchdowns and 63 yards rushing (12 carries).
• Running back Marquis Young finished with 148 yards rushing over 26 carries - both season bests - and had the eventual game-winning touchdown with less than four minutes to go.
• Wide receiver Andy Isabella posted four catches totaling 78 yards and one for a touchdown. His position mate Zak Simon added a 67-yard TD catch.
