Tulane Game Moving to McGuirk Alumni Stadium

AMHERST, Mass. -- Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford today announced that University of Massachusetts football's game hosting Tulane, originally scheduled for Gillette Stadium, on Oct. 1, 2016 will now be played at McGuirk Alumni Stadium.
With UMass hosting Tulane on campus at McGuirk Alumni Stadium, 2016 Homecoming weekend will now be held surrounding this game on Oct. 1.
"We want to thank the Kraft family, Gillette Stadium and Tulane University for collaborating on this important scheduling change giving us the opportunity to move a third home game to Amherst," Bamford said. "We are very pleased that we are able to play three home games at each venue in 2016."
"In addition, we see great benefit for our students, fans and alumni in featuring the Tulane game as the foundation for Homecoming weekend at UMass," Bamford added. "It adds another positive element to an already exciting 2016 schedule."
Massachusetts football opens the 2016 season at Florida on Sat., Sept. 3. Football season tickets are on sale now by calling the UMass Athletics Ticket Office at 1-866-UMASS-TIX, visiting the Mullins Center Ticket Office (9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) or by clicking here.
