Pandiani Named Associate AD for Sales and Fan Experience

AMHERST, Mass. - Alan Pandiani has been named to the newly-created position of Associate Director of Athletics for Sales and Fan Experience, it was announced by University of Massachusetts Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford on Wednesday.
Pandiani will oversee areas of athletic revenue generation, marketing and brand management and business analytics to enhance the fan experience. A native of Shrewsbury, Mass., he comes to Amherst after spending the last two years at Atlanta-based sports business consulting firm, the Aspire Group Inc.
"I am pleased that Alan Pandiani will be joining our administrative staff and external relations team in this newly-created position formed to more strategically market our growing FBS athletic department." Bamford said. "Alan has impressive global sales and marketing experience and a genuine passion for our renewed approach to promote the Flagship athletic program in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and beyond."
During his time with Aspire, Pandiani headed up all new business initiatives, contracting and partnership development. Prior to his role at the Aspire corporate office, Pandiani worked at Aspire's Georgia Tech property.

Having worked for a global sport marketing firm for the past four years, I feel I can bring tremendous value to the department. Pandiani brings a business mindset steeped in data-driven decision making and a strong relationship-based sales culture. In his time working for Aspire, he contributed to numerous projects including FBS football and basketball programs and a portfolio of international professional sports properties.
No stranger to New England, Pandiani holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Providence College. He was also team captain for men's track and field during his junior and senior seasons. He comes from a family of UMass graduates.
Pandiani began his duties at UMass on August 19.
