WORCESTER, Mass - Two Minutewomen represented UMass at the Holy Cross Multi Meet last Wednesday through Thursday. Bridget Deveau and Julia Witt partook in the two day event held in Worcester, Mass at Holy Cross. Strong efforts produced two successful showings in the heptathlon. Deveau took the victory, earning gold and setting a new fourth all-time UMass record. Witt finished fifth overall and achieved a personal best.

Bridget Deveau took the lead and won the heptathlon with 4,597 points. The score earned her a fourth all-time UMass program mark. Among Deveau's strong performances was her first place finish in the 800 meter run at 2 minutes, 19.18-seconds which helped urge her to an overall victory. Julia Witt set a personal best with her 3,969 point score, a solid performance good for fifth place.

The UMass women will compete this Saturday at the Holy Cross Invitational in Worcester, Mass. Start time is slated for 11:00 AM.
