Football Adds Pair of JUCO Signees

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts football and head coach Mark Whipple announced the addition of two junior college signees on Wednesday who’ll join the program in January. Ali Ali-Musa and Tedrick Lowery enter as juniors with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

A native of Austin, Texas, Tedrick Lowery is listed as a 6-0, 225 defensive back who joins the Minutemen from Tyler J.C. In 2015, he totaled 42 tackles, including 34 solo stops, two sacks and two interceptions. He is a graduate of W. Charles Akins High School.

A native of Annandale, Va., Ali-Musa is listed as a 6-3, 275 defensive lineman who joins the Minutemen from Nassau C.C. A 2015 NJCAA Second-Team All-American, he totaled 62 tackles, including 42 solo stops, 19.0 tackles for a loss of 90 yards and six sacks this fall. He is a graduate of Annandale High School.
