Football Radio Show Returns Thursday

AMHERST, Mass. - The Bud Light UMass Football Show will air on Thurs., Oct. 15, 7-8 p.m., on WEEI 105.5 FM Springfield and 1440 AM Worcester. Fans are invited to join head coach Mark Whipple, senior wide receiver Marken Michel and senior linebacker Kassan Messiah, live from The Hangar Pub and Grill in Amherst, as the team prepares to host Kent State Saturday at McGuirk Stadium.

In total, nine episodes will air throughout the 2015 campaign. The shows are hosted live at The Hangar’s new location at 10 University Drive in Amherst.

WEEI 105.5 FM Springfield returns as the flagship station for UMass football in 2015. Bloomberg Radio Boston 1200 AM and WATD 95.9 FM on the South Shore return as game affiliates, while listeners in Worcester can find Minutemen football game broadcasts on WCRN 830 AM. Pregame coverage for each contest begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans can listen online at WEEI.com/UMass and on their mobile devices by downloading the TuneIn Radio app.

Josh Maurer, the Voice of the Minutemen, returns for his eighth season handling play-by-play for UMass football in 2015. Maurer will once again be joined in the broadcast booth by analyst Matt Goldstein, a former UMass kicker. Adam Frenier will serve as program host and Andy Bukowski is the flagship studio producer.

The Minutemen will host Kent State on Sat., Oct. 17 in a Homecoming contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN3 where Doug Sherman (PxP) and Matt Chatham (analyst) will have the call.
