Alongside freshman Isabel Balsavage, the duo ignited the momentum for the Minutewomen, winning back-to-back doubles matches over Rhode Island and Rutgers in the Terrier Flight, 8-4, 8-0, respectively.
Woosley continued her winning style into her singles matches when she defeated Rutgers' Mariam Zein, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, in a come-from-behind first round victory of the White Flight. The West Sussex, England, native went on to win the second round and defeated Emma Burgess of Providence, 6-3, 7-6 (5). Woosley then clinched the final match against Stony Brook's Elizabeth Tsvetkov, 6-4, 6-2, to take home the White Flight victory.
Last season, Woosley recorded a 10-8 singles record, while posting a 9-9 mark in doubles matches. In the spring campaign Woosley took home five of her last six matches played, including a 6-3, 6-0 conference win over Rhode Island. In the second half tilt, Woosley paired up with Yuliana Motyl in doubles action; the tandem clinched seven of nine matches together including an 8-0 sweep over A-10 opponent Saint Joseph's.
Woosley will be honored on Wednesday at the UMass weekly sports luncheon at the Minutemen Club beginning at Noon.
